i have been living with my dad and step mum for around a year now after moving out of my mums house, at first everything was great i was treated well spoke to nicely but it didn't really last for long, as she had a son herself from a different relationship and my half sister which was with my dad, i started to notice that she was always buying her son and daughter new things and leaving me out and that i would hardly get spoken to as much as the others, after a while it was getting so upsetting my girlfriend sent my dad a message explaining how i felt, he then shown my step mum and we all have a chat and it seemed all right again for about 2 weeks and this time it really got worse, when my dad was at work i would somehow always be doing something wrong like not dusting my room 1 day or getting up a bit late as i had just finished school, so she would ring my dad up so he would have a word with me. it happened so many times it was horrible and the arguments they kept having were getting worse and becoming more often, my dad slowly got closer too me and told me what they were about.. as i was getting a car at the time my dad bought me some new alloys and she went in such a strop because he had bought me something and not her.. so she went out and bought a new TV for the kitchen (pathetic i know) as the days went on afterwards she would hardly talk to me.. and walk out the room if i walked in it.. it was so like she didn't want me there but i wasn't going to do anything just then so i stayed quite. And also before my dad met her she lived in a run down council house but now shes got 2 houses nice cars lovely furniture and she turns into a complete spoilt cow.. i hardly ask for anything unless i really need it but its all too weird i cant understand why she cant be normal and like me i would do anything to help her or help anyone i just wish she was a bit nicer to me and my dad.

Could evolution have a plan for humans- if so, what?

Our brains are wired to be curious, ingenuitive, and much more. I have a theory that humans are "designed" by evolution to be the "transporters" of life (much like how seeds evolve to spread) - to spread the seed of life into space in case of some catastrophic event beyond the Earth's power to avoid. At the same time I believe we have been distracted by toilsome endeavorers (the stuff our economies are made of) I know this might sound nutty to some but Carl Sagan had similar thoughts. I know evolution doesn't think, but look at a sprout, see how it follows the sun? Well, now just imagine that if the entire organism that is Earth (the thing that gave birth to all life on it) has similar tendencies as a single plant or animal, a "force" guiding it towards survival. Sure we may be screwing up, but there's no guarantee a species will fill its niche (purpose). I brought this up to a Christian friend and he told me that if he's wrong about the existence of his God that maybe that's why we long for places like Heaven, and why we feel we're "stewards". What was happening to me?

Today, me and some friends do p90x everyday after work in a warehouse, I drank a lot of water and ate my healthy meals during the day. But for some reason during halfway my workout, I started getting nauseated and started getting chills in diffrent parts of my body especially my head. After I felt like if I was in shock, couldn't think straight and was getting goosebumps. I have the feeling that it was a huge *** fan we had turned on blowing right at us the whole time. Okay, I've been in this relationship for 5 years since I was 16. We both have done wrongs in our past. He's cheated before (all the way) , and I've cheated before (just talking). Neighbours complaing about dogs barking?

So we have 2 dogs. Jack Russell Collie cross. 3 years old. They are well behaved apart from the barking which is NOT excessive. They only bark when people come to the door or walk past the gate which we have tried to cover up so they can't see but just always seem to sense them still! When there are birds in the garden and when a cat is there which is understandable. Also there are dogs either side of us which bark and set each other off so i can't help that. But when ever they do bark its for no more than 10 seconds as we get them inside or tell them no. And the funny thing is she moans about dogs barking and decided to get one her self a few weeks ago. She lives opposite us so our fence is her fence as well where he dog goes up and makes ours bark. We have taken into consideration the times they bark and stuff its not like we just leave them barking. Shes been round twice now and has said she has told us she has told the council last year but we have had no letter. Also saying shes gonna said her husband round LOL. I don't really go to amusement parks or resorts but if my sons come home to visit we do make S'Mores and have them around the campfire just as we did when they were home and younger. My heart is still empty after a breakup I had over a year ago. It was my first love, and I've never been happier. I know he loved me with all his heart too. Could someone explain to me why the concept of a one-world government freaks people out?

Now granted, my first exposure to the concept of a one-world government was Star Trek. And yes, if the government was ran by somebody like Hitler or Stalin, it would be a bad thing. But would it really be bad if the entire planet was run as some sort of parliamentary democracy/republic that had, at it's core, a respect for all people, and all faiths? In essence, a code of basic human rights and dignity? If the planet was run by an elected council, with no one person being supreme leader, and had a constitution that expressed the right for all to live and worship as they saw fit, as long as they caused no harm to other persons, this would actually be a good thing, i would think.

So, yesterday, I was at one of my dance performances. I squatted down a bit to help out with props without realizing that there was something behind me and part of it was under. When I squatted, there was pressure on my vagina. It hurt bad. It was probably somewhere around my clitoris or a bit below. Not too sure where. I had the goosebumps for a while and after about 5 minutes, I went to the bathroom to find that I had bled a bit. The blood stain was up around the area of my clitoris or below [that's how I guessed where I had been hit]. I went to go get a pad, but at the end of the day, there were no stains on the pad. House repossession - what will happen?

My parents split up three months ago because my mum was having an affair and she has moved out. Before she left, my family weren't getting along very well financially at all but now she's gone we're truly screwed for money. I live in Springfield Oregon which is like the sister city of Eugene the only thing separating the two cities is basically a bridge over the river but culturally they are totally different. The Eugene city counsel just refused to start council meetings with the pledge of allegiance except for four times a year as a compromise. You'll probably get in...its not that competitive of a school. As long as you live in the state of NC your fine, if your out of state it will be harder for you but theres a chance. Overall you seem to do fine in school and you have a bunch of ECs. You have some honors thats good, and the one AP is good, your ACT score is average, not great but not terrible might want to retake in this fall or not its up to you, you'll most likely get in, in my opinion, but overall no one here can tell you for sure that up to the admission people. So now the only thing you can do is apply, this coming fall.

I had horrible horrible big bumps on my legs and they were every where! I used the cloth when I get into the shower every day and I saw results on them going away in the first week! Right, im 25 and have been unemployed since august 2010. I have a son of 6 months and a partner. Currently we live inside a council accommodation that is covered by housing benefit (please don't judge, for 3 months prior to my partner falling pregnant she went to college and worked part time as a housekeeper in medway hospital) as we are currently on a joint claim of job seekers allowance. How can I get over my fear of driving a car after a car crash I had today?

So, yesterday, I was at one of my dance performances. I squatted down a bit to help out with props without realizing that there was something behind me and part of it was under. When I squatted, there was pressure on my vagina. It hurt bad. It was probably somewhere around my clitoris or a bit below. Not too sure where. I had the goosebumps for a while and after about 5 minutes, I went to the bathroom to find that I had bled a bit. The blood stain was up around the area of my clitoris or below [that's how I guessed where I had been hit]. I went to go get a pad, but at the end of the day, there were no stains on the pad. Yeast infection 29 weeks pregnant?

Real Bad Stomach aches?

I've thought about this question multiple times and it's really hard to make a decision. For me, I really love music and that's what keeps me sane. But on the other hand, I love seeing beautiful scenes in nature and I want to become a photographer. It's like, you can't describe amazing music to a deaf person, and you can't describe beautiful scenes in nature to a blind person. You have to experience it yourself. So, to answer your question, I think I'd say I'd rather lose my eyesight because music is basically my whole life!

House repossession - what will happen?

My parents split up three months ago because my mum was having an affair and she has moved out. Before she left, my family weren't getting along very well financially at all but now she's gone we're truly screwed for money. My little sister, who's 13, is planning on living with my mum but me and my brother want to stay with our dad because we're not exactly speaking to my mum after what's happened. My dad is struggling for money so much now, and we're receiving letters threating repossession. I'm at uni but I still come home in the holidays, but my brother's 17, still in education and living with my dad. My brother is worried that if our home is repossessed, me, my brother and my dad will end up on the streets and I can honestly admit that I have no idea what will happen. We live in the UK, can anyone tell me what will happen? Will the government help us and get us a council house? Any information would be amazing!

If they are struggling then speak to them about it and decide which you can live without the most. Well sadly in this kind of situation all you can really do is pray there alright!! :'( I would go and search around your neighborhood to see if he is around there somewhere, most dogs don't tend to stray that far from there homes. Also if you normally walk your dog around a constant route, I would check that as well, my fox terrier got out once, and he came back an hour later from the same route I usually take to walk him!! :) If he got picked up by animal control they'll call you and tell you they have your dog, if he is still not home and you haven't gotten any information about him after three days I would put uposters around your neighborhood. I'm sooo sorry for your bad luck!! :'( I hope you find your dog soon, safe and unharmed!! :'(

How to make a scene in a story scary?

I've heard/read somewhere that if the writer is freaked out by the scene, then it is truly frightening. If this is the case, I write pretty tame stories. If I wanted to write a nightmarish kind of scene, what techniques would I employ to make my readers get the goosebumps? I really am clueless. thanks.

Can a dog's self esteem be affected after staying over night at the vet for surgery?

My dog had a submissive urination problem since he was a small puppy. We fixed it after 6 months of hard dedicated work. He went to the vet 1 month ago to get neutered, and as soon as he came back, the submissive urination started again. We have to start over from square one, and the urination is worse than ever. He is a 1.5 year old mastiff. I am wondering if maybe something happened to him while he was there to make him want to submit to us so drastically? Or the anesthesia changed his brain?? Lol, i know that sounds nutty, but I know that it is a risk for elderly people when they undergo surgery...and they suffer a form of dementia that their brain doesn't recover from due to the anesthesia sometimes. I mean, it was his first time away from home other than staying at his grandma's house, and i can understand his fear of waking up in a strange place, ( They said he displayed cage guarding when they went to take him to his surgery) which is something he has never ever done. Anyways, any input to understanding this odd change in behavior would be appreciated...I've only had a couple thoughts on it. It's upsetting to see 6 months of hard work go down the tube overnight...literally.

Are you positive that the last one went that badly? Because unless you spend the whole time talking about how unqualified you are or reveal some major psychological issues or that you know absolutely nothing about the school, it's very difficult for a college interview alone to sink your chances. Not doing one when the school recommends it, on the other hand, sends the message that you're not serious about going there. Besides, you won't be able to avoid interviews in the working world, so now's a good time to get comfortable with them. Do your research, prep some common answers in advance (why this school, what are your interests, etc.) and have some thoughtful questions ready, and you should be okay. Really.
