Atheists: do you think Buddhism is as nutty as Christianity?Do you respect Buddhism any more than Christianity?

There are different sects within Buddhism with varying degrees of superstition. On the nutty scale, Tibetan Buddhism is the most "colorful", then you can go to Pure Land Buddhism, which is very similar in feel to Christianity. You can also look at Sakai Gakkai which has 10,000,000 followers in Japan. They basically believe that if you chant a certain phrase you'll get stuff. Zen (which I practice) is the least nutty in that it simply concentrates on meditation. There are however a lot of rituals involved that Atheists could point to and laugh if they were so inclined.
