If we are building Nuclear power plants, why not put them on our Carrier Fleet and "plug" them into US ports?

Actually, I had the same idea after the Quake/Tsunami/Meltdown happened in Japan. If their reactors were on a fleet of ships, they could have safely been out to sea before the Tsunami hit. BTW, there has not been a Nuclear Power Plant built anywhere in the US in over 30 years
