Trying to find a book?

On the cover there is a road sign and two bunnys. It is a real picture, or at least the bunnies are real. It starts out with a boy and it is the last bit of summer. He is talking about scout camp. His family gets along, but he feels he doesnt fit in with everyone around him. They go school shopping, and he gets embarrassed that his family cannot shop at a nicer place. His older sister paints bunnies on her bedroom wall, and they all are doing different things. Anyways, school starts. His sister is running for student council elections and the day before kids paint stuff all over her signs and locker. The family then packs up all of their stuff and goes to live on a house boat. I cannot remember much more.... I think there is a sequel. It was a newer book. And was set in modern time in the united states. Anything would be very helpful!!! Thank you!
